Living in Paris in my youth, I developed an early passion for beauty and fashion. When I moved to San Francisco, I explored the world of hair design seriously, training and developing my skills with renowned hair stylists there, as well as in London and Paris. While spending a year in Hawaii, I created styles for Asian designers and their runway models. Returning to San Francisco, I enjoyed 20 years in a trendy neighborhood salon in the Marina District. Additionally I was a platform artist at numerous hair shows around the country, representing various product lines.
While visiting family in San Diego, I was so attracted to the area that I decided to relocate. In 1995, I opened a salon on Prospect Street in La Jolla. A few years later, I moved to a salon serving Rancho Santa Fe. Now I am at a beautifully designed salon, Divinity, on Highway 101 in Encinitas. Divinity offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere in an eclectic setting.
I love my craft and I continually expand my knowledge and techniques, to keep me on the cutting edge. On a yearly basis, I attend numerous international hair shows and classes with some of the top hairstylists in the world. I regularly visit leading cities of fashion such as Paris, London and New York. Each season I study new forms of cutting and coloring techniques (Balayage), to stay current. Based on hair type, facial structure, and lifestyle, I combine this knowledge base with avant-garde ideas to create for my clients an up-to-date style, with colors that will enhance a contemporary or classic look and will be easy for them to maintain.
I specialize in transformations. Precision cuts and special
techniques with 3D colors, Balayage and highlights are adapted to complement the total look. Japanese thermal straightening is an exciting addition to my skills and has made hair care much easier for a number of my clients. I have been a certified technician in this system since 2001. I am also very experienced with chemicals used for traditional permanent techniques.
I am fluent in English and French, and can get by in Spanish.
Away from the salon, I enjoy photography, painting, sketching, music and cooking. See my gallery of creations. |
